In this project, we collaborated closely with our clients to transform an underutilized and dysfunctional entryway closet into a welcoming and functional space for visitors. Through a series of design iterations, we explored various approaches to achieve the desired outcome.
Our design concept focused on providing a high level of flexibility to the storage space. We incorporated pull-out slides that allow easy access to a hidden printer and media console, ensuring that the area remains clutter-free. Additionally, we integrated a seat that lifts up, revealing concealed storage for added convenience.
To enhance the overall aesthetics of the space, we utilized finished maple plywood. This choice not only brightened up the area but also added a touch of warmth and sophistication. As a seamless integration into the side of the wood grain, we introduced a touch-sensitive custom light switch. With a simple touch, this switch activates a flush strip light that elegantly illuminates the top of the cabinet, creating a visually pleasing ambiance.
Our attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship allowed us to create a transformed entryway closet that not only fulfills its functional purpose but also exudes an inviting atmosphere.
