By introducing a new material and architectural element, we were able to reinvision our clients bedroom closet. Instead of having them wake up to an outdated and somewhat dysfunctional closet, we imagined a transformation that would bring a sense of freshness and functionality to the space.

To achieve this, we created a cleverly integrated shelf system that serves as a focal point in the room. This custom-made system is designed to seamlessly adapt to Ikea's internal components while utilizing maple wood, which has been stained using a natural lye bleaching process. The result is a wall of warm wood that welcomes and envelops the room.

Careful attention was given to the details, such as thin reveals between the doors, which add a contemporary and clean feel to the overall design. This approach ensures a harmonious integration of the shelf system with the existing architecture, creating a seamless and visually pleasing transition.

By incorporating this custom-made, adaptable shelf system, we have not only transformed the functionality of the bedroom but also introduced a captivating architectural moment.
