We were presented with a remarkable opportunity to reimagine a significant portion of our client's home in this project. Our primary focus was on creating a more intuitive spatial arrangement for the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry areas. Through extensive design conversations with the homeowners, we were able to develop a concept that not only enhances functionality but also connects the backside of the home to the beautiful backyard.

Central to the design is the use of custom-made solid Red Oak cabinetry, which adds a touch of elegance and warmth to the space. The kitchen boasts an island with integrated shelving and clever storage options, allowing for efficient organization and easy access to essentials. Positioned along a large accordion door, the kitchen seamlessly opens up to an expansive ipe deck, creating a harmonious flow between indoor and outdoor living. This design decision not only provides breathtaking views but also floods the space with inviting natural light, introducing a new material concept.

The bathroom is equally remarkable, featuring a custom-made oak vanity adorned with beautiful speckled terrazzo. Seamless white tiles elegantly line the shower walls, seamlessly transitioning into niche shelving and framing a daylight window that offers a tranquil view of the surrounding foliage. To further enhance the connection to natural light and the backyard, we introduced a custom circle window made of fluted glass. This unique addition softly illuminates the space, creating a gentle glow that complements the serenity of the outdoor environment.
