We approached our Beacon Hill project with a focus on how natural light could define and transform the home’s character.
In this 1940s brick house located in Seattle’s Beacon Hill neighborhood, our clients asked us to upgrade their awkwardly laid-out kitchen into a more efficient, bright, and inviting space.
Within a compact footprint, we developed a design centered on natural materials and visual warmth. The kitchen features continuous-grain maple cabinetry paired with natural oak floors and a hand-selected Ijen Blue quartzite countertop. The stone complements the surrounding wood with soft blue, gray, and yellow hues.
Upon entering the home, your eyes are immediately drawn through the dining room and kitchen toward the corner window, where morning light floods the space. A custom coffee bar wraps around the dining area, reinforcing a sense of connection and flow between rooms.
Beyond its aesthetics, this project also stands out for how closely it stayed on schedule and budget, a rewarding outcome in a process full of moving parts, from material sourcing to coordination among trades.
