Douglas fir 4 x 4, Wax Oil Finish

First piece in a series of three exploring a utilitarian approach to a piece of dimensional lumber more often seen in rough framing holding up roofs and beams rather than a comforting stool.. In an effort to be more genuine to the dimensionality of the 4 x 4 piece, rather than reshaping it, we created a repeating dimension throughout the piece starting with a 3 x 3 grid of 9 pieces glued together that make up the seat bench.
